An amazing property situated in the heart of France
The Mews has been beautifully converted from a tumbled down barn into a charming, one bedroom cottage and comfortably furnished to a very high standard. It is right next door to Le Chevalier but quietly set back from the road and is a completely separate property with it's own entrance and private courtyad. The owners Juliet and Paul, wine makers in Australia's Mornington Peninsula where they run the Staindl Wines Vineyard, have created "the kind of cozy bolt hole we have always looked for on our yearly visits to Burgundy. We love being in the centre of Puligny Montrachet and so close to the Grand Cru vineyards." Spring Garden and bric-a-brac markets, summer music and wine events, autumn jazz, christmas markets and winter wine festivals; there is always something going on no matter what time of the year.
Just across the square, la Boulangerie for you morning croissants, l'Epicerie for daily groceries, Julien's cool wine bar for aperitifs, the popular village cafe, a choice of bistros and Le Montrachet, the Michelin starred restaurant; a full range of true French, gastronomic experiences right on your doorstep.
Entering from the gravel courtyard through glass doors, the ground floor is an open plan, living, dining and kitchen space looking out to the Place du Monument. The living area has a big sofa, flat screen TV and i-pod docking station. There is a large round dining table with seating for 4 and a fully equipped kitchen with multi-function oven, microwave, induction hob, dishwasher, washer/dryer and Nespresso coffee machine.
Up the spiral staircase, the large bedroom suite at first floor is spacious and light with views out to the square. It ha a queen size bed and ensuite shower room, with walk-in shower wash basin and wc.
Step out through glass doors from the living area into the gravel courtyard with outdoor dining for 4. A great place to relax.
